Beyond Paradise will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its second series on Friday 22 March, with six new episodes premiering weekly each Friday at 8pm. To celebrate the news, the BBC has also revealed guest casting and first-look pictures for the new series, made for the BBC by Red Planet Pictures, in a co-commission with BritBox International.
Series one of Beyond Paradise was the UK’s most watched new drama of last year across all channels and streamers. The new series will see the return of Shipton Abbott’s much-loved residents, including Kris Marshall (DI Humphrey Goodman), Sally Bretton (Martha Lloyd), Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams), Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford), Barbara Flynn (Anne Lloyd) and Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins).

Shipton Abbott continues to keep DI Humphrey Goodman and his team busy, with a baffling new crime each episode. From a death on a steam train to a missing teacher, the team have their work cut out. Even more so with Police HQ’s threat of the local station house closure hanging over them – the pressure is on to get results.
Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha’s journey to find their own version of a family continues as they explore the possibility of fostering. Martha’s mother Anne throws herself into the world of online dating, and a well-meant gesture from Esther’s daughter Zoe threatens to uncover a long-held secret…
