RED PLANET PRIZE SECOND ROUND
Thanks again for your entries. We have now made contact with all those who are through to the second round.
Those who have not been successful this year should have received an email. However, we haven't been able to get hold of everyone due to incorrect email addresses, so apologies if you have not been notified.

HUSTLE RETURNS TO BBC 1
The gang is back for the eighth and final series on Friday 13th at 9pm.
Mickey is joined once again by his trusty tricksters, Albert Stroller (Robert Vaughn), Ash ‘Three Socks’ Morgan (Robert Glenister) and Emma and Sean Kennedy (Kelly Adams, Matt Di Angelo) as they face their biggest challenge yet in an attempt to pull off the ultimate con. Viewers can also look forward to another line-up of stellar guest stars, including Paterson Joseph, national treasure Sheila Hancock and Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp.

Now into its 3rd week, the drama continues to win the 9pm slot.

THE 2011 RED PLANET PRIZE HAS LAUNCHED!
We're extremely excited to announce that our fourth annual writing competition is now open!
The winner will be awarded a £5,000 cash prize and entry to a mentoring scheme, which currently hosts more than 40 new writers found through the initiative.

Death in Paradise launched to the international market this week at MIPCOM in Cannes. Organised by distributors BBC Worldwide the event was a huge success. You can hear more on the official MIPCOM blog.
5 NOMINATIONS FOR THE NATIVITY
The Nativity has been nominated for five Gemini Awards. Launched by the Academy of Canadian Cinema &Television in 1986, The Gemini Awards honour outstanding achievements in the Canadian English-language television and new media industries.
Nominations include Best Sound in a Dramatic Program, Best Writing in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program.
Gareth Scales has been nominated for a Directors Guild of Canada Award for Best Editing of a TV mini series. Entering its 10th year, the DGC Awards has grown to be one of the most-anticipated events of the season and will be held on Saturday, October 29.
