For over 20 years, Tony Jordan has been one of the UK’s most successful screenwriters. In 2005, he was ready for a new challenge, forming his own production company - Red Planet Pictures. Established that year, with the backing of KUDOS FILM AND TELEVISION, Red Planet Pictures was commissioned by the BBC to make HOLBY BLUE. HOLBY BLUE was re-commissioned for an extended second series.

Red Planet has subsequently made two series of CRASH, an innovative medical drama, for BBC Wales, THE NATIVITY for BBC1, and the new eight part series, 'Death in Paradise' for BBC1. Series two is being broadcast now. 

 Our first factual commission, HISTORY COLD CASE (in association with SHINE), has had two series on BBC2.
Red Planet is dedicated to the nurturing of new writers and in 2007 launched the RED PLANET PRIZE. Now in our sixth year, the Prize is in partnership with KUDOS and shows our continuing commitment to new writing talent.
