For over 20 years, Tony Jordan has been one of the UK’s most successful screenwriters. In 2005, he was ready for a new challenge, forming his own production company - Red Planet Pictures. Established that year, with the backing of KUDOS FILM AND TELEVISION, Red Planet Pictures was commissioned by the BBC to make HOLBY BLUE. HOLBY BLUE was re-commissioned for an extended second series.

Red Planet has subsequently made two series of CRASH, an innovative medical drama, for BBC Wales, and has just completed filming of THE NATIVITY for BBC1.

 Our first factual commission, HISTORY COLD CASE (in association with SHINE), was recently broadcast on BBC2.
Red Planet is dedicated to the nurturing of new writers and in 2007 launched the RED PLANET PRIZE. This year’s Prize is in partnership with KUDOS and shows our continuing commitment to new writing talent.

Red Planet Pictures manages a diverse development slate, from children’s animation, though innovative factual projects to our core business primetime drama.
